I quickly grabbed the AK-74 and ran out of the armory.

I then rushed outside into the main yard of the base. Everyone was rushing to defensive positions.

I settled down behind some sandbags and concrete, propping the rifle in my hands onto the wall.

Then, my bones rattled from an anti-armor mortar firing behind me. Then again once it slammed into an MCV in the distance.

The MCV fell down onto the ground as the power was cut off from shrapnel slamming and slicing into its power supply.

The MCV next to it was damaged from the explosion. Any solider near it was blown to mist.

The mortar was about to fire again before a light had shined into the sky. It then fell onto the mortar, destroying it in a massive explosion.

I was thrown over the wall and slammed into the ground.

Right after that both sides instantly started exchanging fire.

I'd get up onto my feet, retriving my rifle. I'd then start sending my own bursts of bullets down range.

Rounds slammed into our armor and our cover. Several on our side began to fall in pain after getting struck. Others fell in a bloody mess.

I'd run while firing towards the closest bit of cover I could get.

Out of nowhere, the MCV began to fire into our main gate and line. Walls began to fall onto the ground and onto fellow marines. Rounds slammed into the few out of cover and split them in half, if not worse.

One marine took cover next to me. Unit M8312, my HUD reported.

It was Bradley, my leading captain and also explosives expert.

He'd take a disposable anti-armor laser cannon from his back, turning it on.

Seeing this, I'd now give covering fire, allowing him to charge it.

Several KU soldiers were suppressed as I fired, but that only brought the MCV's attention over to us.

Before I could react it fired, slamming into the building we hid behind. It wouldn't hold for long.

Bradley then quickly turned around the corner and aimed.

A random soldier noticed and began to fire towards him.

Bradley would fire the laser cannon the moment he was struck in the arm.

The laser would go through several soldiers and right into the MCV's left leg. It now severed from their torso, it fell straight into the dirt.

"Bradley!" I shouted as he screamed in pain and fell, clutching his arm.

More bullets flew his way, slamming into his armor. Luckily not hitting another weak spot.

I reacted, dragging the man into cover.

Then I turned out of cover and began firing what remained in my 100 round magazine. This would take out a few more of the enemy.

As I took cover, more marines came out of the barracks to back us.

This, alongside the lack of MCV support, made the enemy begin to retreat.

All that retreat did was make the more insane marines give chase to end off the rest.

Several guns began to go off from about 60 marines. Each round brutally striked the enemy. Who got hit instantly fell, flesh or entire limbs missing.

Slowly, the gunfire ceased. What we were left with was several destroyed buildings and from what I could tell 100 casualties, most of whom were dead.

I'd now attend to Bradley here, who had already lost a good amount of blood.

I now retrieved the med gun from my vest, slamming the barrel into the man's arm.

Pulling the trigger, it made a hissing sound as it sealed and cleansed the wound. Bradley would also hiss from the pain.

The med gun also injected morphine into the man's body after closing the wound.

I'd now stand, discarding the med gun.

I stared at the damage on my armor and the base. Bodies, blood, guts, and rubble littered the area.

At this point, sadly not even the worst loss we've had recently.
